Join Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan – Wujiquan
Become part of a traditional Chinese martial arts school dedicated to preserving and teaching the authentic arts passed down through Grandmaster Chee Kim Thong and Grandmaster Han Jin Yuan 韓金元.
Membership is open to individuals of good character who have a genuine interest in learning, practising and supporting the traditional arts of Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan (五祖拳) and Wujiquan (無極拳).
Whether you are completely new to Chinese martial arts, an existing student wishing to formalise your membership, or an experienced practitioner interested in our lineage, we welcome your enquiry.
Why Become a Member?
Our school exists to continue the work and final wishes of Grandmaster Han Jin Yuan and to ensure that the traditional knowledge entrusted to him is preserved for future generations.
As a member, you become part of an established international martial arts community with direct links to the teachings of Grandmaster Chee Kim Thong.
Membership provides opportunities to:
- Train within our recognised Wuzuquan and Wujiquan school.
- Follow a structured traditional grading syllabus.
- Attend club training sessions and seminars.
- Participate in national and international events.
- Attend specialist training with senior instructors.
- Participate in gradings where appropriate.
- Connect with other members of the Wuzuquan community in the UK, Europe and internationally.
- Access members’ information and resources where available.
- Support the continued preservation of these traditional Chinese martial arts.
More Than Martial Arts
Wuzuquan training is not simply about learning how to fight.
Our aim is to promote traditional Chinese martial arts as a means of physical and mental training, health, self-defence and the preservation of Chinese cultural heritage.

Members are also encouraged to develop the traditional qualities of honesty, diligence, tolerance, courage, wisdom and commitment through their training.
Students come from different backgrounds, ages and levels of experience. What matters most is a willingness to learn, practise consistently and treat instructors and fellow students with respect.
New to Wuzuquan?
You do not need previous martial arts experience to apply.
Beginners are welcome, and our structured syllabus provides a progressive route through the fundamentals of the system before students move towards more advanced training.
If you are unsure whether Wuzuquan is right for you, you are also welcome to contact us about observing a class before joining.
Existing Martial Artists
Practitioners from other martial arts backgrounds are also welcome to enquire.
Previous martial arts experience can be useful, but students joining the school should approach Wuzuquan with an open mind and be prepared to learn the system according to the traditional methods and syllabus taught within our lineage.
Previous grades or experience in another martial art do not automatically confer an equivalent grade within our school.
Existing Wuzuquan Practitioners and Instructors
If you already practise Wuzuquan, Wujiquan or an associated Chee Kim Thong / Han Jin Yuan system, please provide details of your previous training, instructor and lineage when applying.
This helps us understand your background and direct your enquiry to the appropriate senior instructor.
Anyone wishing to teach under the name of the school must meet the separate instructor requirements established within the Club Constitution and hold the appropriate recognised certification and permission.
