Grandmaster Han Jin Yuan 韓金元

Grandmaster Han, already a Taekwondo black belt of many years, had met Grandmaster Chee Kim Thong in 1972, when he took his family back to visit his in-laws in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Grandmaster Han’s father-in-law arranged for him to meet his neighbour Mr. Yap Ching Hai after a chance conversation on Traditional Chinese martial arts. Mr. Han met Mr. Yap and a few days later Mr. Yap introduced him to his master Grandmaster Chee Kim Thong. Grandmaster Han was indebited to Grandmaster Yap Ching Hai for his introduction and cherished his friendship and advice for many more years to come.

Becoming Grandmaster Chee’s 17th disciple Master Han was appointed Chief Instructor of the UK and Europe on the 15th August 1992. Click here to read more about our club history.
